We love markets.  They are such a great place to mingle and explore. We missed them last year and are really glad that they are slowly coming back. No matter if it is food, local produce, hand crafted items, trash and treasure, they offer something for everybody. Some markets are so popular that people travel from far away to visit them. 
We have chosen a local market in Ballarat for a regular appearance.  The Sunday market at Ballarat Showgrounds is organised by a local Rotary club. Proceeds of this market go to Rotary projects and that is a worthy cause to support.  Of course we cannot take all our almost 900 different items to the market every Sunday.  So we choose the products based on season, weather, stock or even specific wishes from our customers. What ever fits on 2 tables and a 9sqm space. So every Saturday night we pack the car to get ready for an early morning start. 
Over time you get to know your neighbours and your customers. We share a chat, a laugh, a coffee and sometimes a heater, when it gets too cold. We sell only a few or a lot of items. It varies every Sunday. Markets have a special dynamic and that's what we love about them.  So, go and visit a market in your neighbourhood and experience it for yourself.
